Happy Birthday Ringo Starr!!
That's right, today is Richard Starkey's 70th birthday!!! Yowzaa...! Señor Star was born on July 7, 1940 in Liverpool, Merseyside, England and is probably most well known as the drummer for the best band on the planet, The Beatles! (right along side The Jimi Hendrix Experience)!! My love for The Beatles is an everlasting dreamy one, there's nothing quite like their unique lyrics and sounds. It is truly incredible how The Beatles evolved so much throughout their time together, to this day their powerful words of love, peace, freedom and happiness continue to appeal to a universal audience - lyrics that spell out what so much of humanity craves the most in this life.
Anyways, back to Ringo... He should be recognized for all of his other achievements, not only was he drummer for the Beatles, but he is an actor, director, writer and artist with a loooonnnng resume, check that out here. You can also visit his website here.

(via IMDB).....
*Drummer with The Beatles (1962-1970)
*Leader of "Ringo Starr's All Starr Band"
*Ringo got the last name "Starr" from his birth name, Starkey. He got "Ringo" because he liked to wear rings on all his fingers.
*He is three months older than John Lennon, who founded The Beatles, and the last to join the group, technically making him both the oldest and youngest Beatle.
*"Ringo Starr" was a natural stage name for a young man who'd grown up loving Western movies (he particularly admired Gene Autry, the "singing cowboy"). Considered moving to Texas, before joining The Beatles.
He looks pretty good today, considering he's now 70!....
