Holiday Wreaths: Peace Signs!

WooHoo!   Happy Friday!

Ready for an overload of holiday wreath images?  I've got all the inspiration you need right here, and there's so much more to come because I won't bombard you with too many images in just one post.

So you know, the definitions of a wreath are: 1. a circular band of flowers, foliage, or any ornamental work, for adorning the head or for any decorative purpose; a garland or chaplet.; 2. any ringlike, curving, or curling mass or formation: a wreath of clouds. (Dictionary.com)

As far as its history goes, according to Wikipedia the wreath dates back thousands of years, much of its symbolism stems from Greek Mythology and its circular shape has long been seen as a symbol of eternity.  However like many traditions, the use of a wreath is different across religions and cultures, for example wreaths are used in many cultures as headdress for weddings and not just for the typical Christian Christmas holiday festive decor.

With that in mind, check out this great twist on the traditional wreath - a PEACE SIGN wreath!  You know the hippie in me loves the daylights out of this idea!   It's crazy how many different and unique wreaths are out there, so this post is just the beginning of my holiday wreath bonanza, stay tuned!
